everyday life and more!

I've decided to go ahead and officially begin posting about our family at Big Crazy Love

I will blog about the WHOLE family there and leave Jackson's website to just post about specifics regarding him.

I hope y'all will continue to follow on both!  Or if you're just following Jackson's Journey, I hope you'll stop over at Big Crazy Love to see how he's doing on a day to day basis!

So over there, you'll see more of this

Jackson helping me cook!

and more of this

Jackson getting his own bib and putting it on to tell me he's ready to eat!
(which by the way, he eats a 10 piece McD's chicken nuggets pack by HIMSELF on soccer night)

and you'll see a little of this!

(His picture which I finally had made into black and white to add to the kids' bathroom wall!)

See you over at Big Crazy Love!

Hi Stacy! I got your blog comment - I don't mind sharing Isaac's measurements at all!!

In the five months we've been home, he has grown over 2.5 inches! He has only gained a few pounds, though with this cleft palate and surgery that's not unusual. He is much sturdier and stockier, though!

Here is our bread recipe! It's delicious.

Best Bread Recipe!

Heat oven to 200* F

Combine the following ingredients in your mixer:

1 C. Canola oil
¾ C. honey
¼ C. molasses
2 T. salt
3 T. white flour
2 T. gluten

Add 6 cups of water, heated to 130* F.

Add 5 cups of flour (we use a combo of white flour and wheat flour).

Add 3 T. yeast

Mix on low speed for two minutes. Let dough rest for 15 minutes, until foamy.

Add additional flour to your dough until sides of bowl come clean and dough no longer sticks to the sides.

Turn oven off.

Divide dough into 6 sections and knead well, about 8-10 minuets. Place into greased bread pans. Let rise in the warm oven for 30 minutes or until doubled.

Bake at 350* F for 30 minutes.

Let cool on wire wracks before removing bread from pans.
